MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611107573 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on September 07, 2026, for Automated Microbial Composting System And Process For Controlled Conversion Of Agricultural Waste Into Microbial Compost.
Inventor includes Dr. Biplov C. Sarkar.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated microbial composting system for controlled conversion of agricultural waste into compost. The system comprises a waste feeding unit (126), composting chamber (127), microbial inoculum dosing unit (128), mixing mechanism (129), aeration system (130), sensor module (131), control unit (132) and compost discharge outlet (134). The sensor module monitors composting parameters including temperature, moisture and selected gases, while the control unit automatically regulates mixing and aeration according to sensed conditions. In an embodiment, an ESP32 microcontroller (135) interfaces with temperature, moisture, gas, ammonia and methane sensors (136–140) and controls an agitator (142), heating resistor (144) and air extractor (145) through relay modules (141, 143). The system enables controlled microbial decomposition, reduces manual intervention and provides substantially uniform composting of agricultural waste.
