Abstract: An automated mat cutting device, comprising a platform 101 configured with plurality of telescopically operated rods 102 and motorized omni-directional wheel 103 for providing multi-directional movement to surface, a user-interface inbuilt in a computing unit to allow user to up-load pre-stored images of floor of a public transport vehicle, a speaker 104 notifies user to place a mat of standard size, on platform 101, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 105 for detecting placement of mat over platform 101 and plurality of motorized clippers 106 grip mats from periphery of mat to secure mat, an inverted L-shaped frame 107 configuring a motorized cutting unit 108 by means of an extendable link 109 that extends and position cutting unit 108 in contact with mat for initiating cutting of mat, a first 110 and second motorized slider 111 provide bi-directional movement to cutter for cutting mat as per evaluated pattern.
