Abstract: An automated joystick covering device for wheelchair, comprising an extendable platform 101 positioned beneath a wheelchair hand rest configured with joystick via multiple suction units 102 arranged over platform 101, an imaging unit 103 installed over platform 101 determines hand rest length, a motorized drawer arrangement 104 integrated in platform 101 extend platform 101 and accommodate hand rest over platform 101, multiple motorized hinge joints 105 installed over periphery of platform 101 rotate a transparent plate 106 configured with each hinge joints 105 for creating boundary around joystick, a transparent lid 107 configured on one plate 106 via a motorized pin joint 108 to position lid 107 over boundary for enclosing joystick to prevent joystick from rain, a microphone 109 mapped over platform 101 receives user voice command regarding operating of joystick, a robotic gripper 110 installed over platform 101 grip and operate joystick as per user-specified direction.
