MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611088080 A) filed by Nordic Design House Private Limited on July 19, 2026, for Automated Inspection System And Method.
Inventor includes Sandip Kumar Srivastava.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: An automated defect inspection system (100) and method (500) are disclosed. The system receives inspection data associated with a manufactured component and stores reference model data representing intended geometry of the component. An anomaly detection engine identifies candidate anomalies from the inspection data. A deviation determination engine (150) compares measurement data, including geometric data derived from the inspection data, with the reference model data to generate deviation data indicative of geometric deviations from the intended geometry. A validation engine (160) validates a candidate anomaly by correlating a region associated with the candidate anomaly with a corresponding region represented in the deviation data and determining whether the corresponding region indicates a geometric deviation satisfying a defect criterion. Candidate anomalies lacking corresponding geometric deviation may be classified as non-structural anomalies. Validated structural defects are classified using a defect library, and an output interface generates an inspection output such as pass/fail, reject, sorting or manufacturing-control information.
