MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641100220 A) filed by Karpagam College Of Engineering; Karpagam Academy Of Higher Education; Dr C Arul Murugan; and Anbarasan M on August 19, 2026, for Automated Hydroponic System With Real-Time Monitoring Using Iot.

Inventors include Dr C Arul Murugan; and Anbarasan M.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The development process of an Automated Hydroponic System with real-time IoT monitoring support. The system revolves around the concept of an overall wireless sensor network, which monitors environmental, as well as nutrient factors, on a sustained basis, including temperature, humidity, and water levels. The microcontroller-based controlling system automatically takes care of the water flow and nutrient supply to the plants, ensuring sustained optimal growth. Before the execution of the hardware part, the team simulated the project on the Proteus tool to check the overall control logic and functionality of the components. Results indicate enhanced efficiency, reduced human interaction, and optimal plant growth, ensuring the benefits of automation through IoT for effective farming practices.
