MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511023193 A) filed by Sanskriti University on March 15, 2025, for Automated Hydration Assistant Device For Athletes.

Inventors include Dr. Sanjay Kumar; and Bairistar Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An automated hydration assistant device for athletes, comprising a cuboidal housing 101 configured to contain and support multiple water bottles, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 installed on the housing 101 to determine presence of an athlete in the track, a RADAR (Radio Detection and Ranging) gun 103 is configured on the housing 101 to determine speed of the athlete approaching towards the housing 101, plurality of motorized iris units 104 situated above each water bottle compartment 105, designed to securely hold bottles in place, a telescopic pusher 106 located within the housing 101 to elevate desired water bottle from its compartment 105, a robotic arm 107 installed on the housing 101 to reach out and present bottle directly to the athlete, a motorized suction unit 108 provided with the housing 101 that employs a vacuum to create suction power to securely grasp the dropped bottle.
