Abstract: Automated Hybrid Sensor System for Real-Time Thread Break Detection in Ring Frame Machines This invention describes an automated hybrid sensor and artificial intelligence-integrated thread break detection and classification system for ring frame spinning machines, operable for real- time monitoring and management of yarn continuity. The system comprises a mobile carriage traversable along the spindle line, incorporating optical, acoustic, and vibration sensing elements to reliably detect thread breaks under adverse mill conditions. An embedded artificial intelligence module processes sensor data to classify break causes including tension imbalance, spindle misalignment, fiber cohesion weakness, or environmental anomalies, while a spindle identification mechanism localizes the exact break position with time- stamped precision. Operator intervention is facilitated through augmented reality overlays or laser-based guidance interfaces. An Internet-of-Things communication framework transmits real-time alerts, spindle histories, and cause-specific analytics to cloud dashboards for remote supervisory oversight. Predictive maintenance analytics identify recurring spindle irregularities, enabling preventive interventions. The system is structurally adaptable for retrofit integration, thereby enhancing yarn quality, reducing downtime, and minimizing manual dependency.
