Abstract: The present invention relates to Automated Food Grain Monitoring System Using IoT which comprises an LDR sensor used to sense sunshine and a rain sensor used to sense rain. The two sensors are connected to a microcontroller named PIC16F877A whose running program is written in Embedded C. Door responsible for food grain storage and the fan are controlled by opening and closing depending on the presence of sunshine and rain sensed respectively by the sensors. For example, in case sunshine is sensed, the door to store food grains opens together with activating the fan to dry food grains through natural sunshine. On the other hand, in case of rain, the food grain storing door closes together with deactivating the fan to ensure stored grains are not affected by rain without involving a human.
