Abstract: An automated flower bed preparation device, comprising a platform 101 positioned on a ground surface of a lawn, an imaging unit 102 mounted on the platform 101 to generate a 3-dimensional mapping of surroundings that is displayed on a display panel 103 installed on the platform 101, a cylindrical member 105 arranged underneath the platform 101 via a scotch yoke arrangement 113 to provide twisting motion to the member 105 for cutting holes into the evaluated portions, a pair of flaps 106 arranged with the member 105 to grab the cut portion, an electronically controlled nozzle 107 installed on the platform 101 via a robotic link 108 for spraying an appropriate amount of water onto the area and a motorized roller 109 housed within a U-shaped frame 110 arranged with the platform 101 for positioning the roller 109 over the prepared area for smoothening the surface.
