Inventors include Dr. Ankit Verma; and Nidhi Saraswat.

Abstract: An automated escalator maintenance device, comprising a platform 101 positioned towards an escalator installed with a cuboidal body 102, a touch screen 103 mounted on the body 102 for enabling a user to give input commands, a pair of rods 104 configured with body 102 having a pair of curved-shaped units 105 equipped with a circular brush 106 to rotate for removing dust/dirt from the steps and sucked into a suction unit 107 installed with the body 102, an imaging unit 108 mounted on the body 102 for detecting presence of commuter on the escalator, a pair of motorized sliders 109 configured between the body 102 and platform 101 for translating the body 102 sideways to give passage to commuter and an electronic sprayer 110 installed with the body 102 via a telescopically operated bar connected with vessel for spraying paint for marking guiding lines for commuters on the steps.
