Abstract: An automated drill bit sharpening device, comprises of a V-shaped hollow body 101 installed with a curved-shaped member 102 developed to accommodate a drill bit that is to be sharpened, a microphone 103 for enabling a user to give voice commands for securing a drill bit, an imaging unit 104 for detecting dimensions of drill bit, a laser projection unit 105 to guide user in positioning drill bit inside body 101 via a vertical cavity 106, a motorized clamp 107 to secure drill bit with member 102, a grinding blade 108 arranged inside each side of body 101, each via a pair of L-shaped supporting links 109, a slider 110 to position blade 108 in contact with tip of drill bit and a speaker 111 for notifying the user regarding successful sharpening of the drill bit.
