The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated Caliper for dimension measurement which measures length, breadth, thickness or height of the object automatically via aligning the object efficiently that aids the device to measure the dimension in an appropriate manner. A touch sensor is placed on the moving jaw, and the object is placed touching the fixed jaw. As the sensor on moving jaw touches and detects the object, the jaw stops, and hence the exact measurement can be noted down. This does not alter the actual dimensions of the object. It reduces the human error, that includes manually placing the object between the jaws of the calliper and improper alignment of the object. The device also saves user’s time.
