MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511017451 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 27, 2025, for Automated Bush Trimming Device.

Inventors include Dr. Vivekanand Singh; and Dr. Ravindra Kumar Pandey.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An automated bush trimming device, comprises of a cuboidal body 101 developed to be positioned on a ground surface of a lawn, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 104 mounted on the body 101 to generate a 3-dimensional mapping of surroundings of the body 101, a touch interactive display panel 105 installed on the body 101 for enabling a user to select user-desired bushes from the displayed mapping, along with trimming design patterns for the selected bushes, a LiDAR ( Light Detection and Ranging) sensor coupled with a color sensor, is embedded in the body 101 for detecting distance of the bushes from the body 101, a plate 106 arranged with the body 101 and movable by a robotic arm 107, and multiple rotatable blades 108 assembled on the plate’s front portion to rotate for trimming the evaluated portions for attaining the user-selected design patterns on the selected bushes.
