Abstract: An automated brake rod maintenance device, comprises of a housing 101 integrated with multiple motorized wheels 102 arranged beneath the housing 101 to provide translation to the housing 101 over the surface, an imaging unit 105 synced with an ultrasonic sensor to detect diameter of the brake rod, a first robotic link 106 installed within the housing 101 and configured with a welding unit 107 to perform welding over detected crack for repairing crack, a motorized grinding unit 109 to perform smoothening over welded crack for removing weld slag, a motorized brush 111 to clean threads carved over the brake rod, a pair of robotic grippers 112 installed within housing 101 to access a multi-sectioned chamber 113 arranged within housing 101, and a robotic arm 114 configured within the housing 101 to check threads by means of a go no go gauge 115 configured with the arm 114.
