Abstract: Title: Automated Blockchain-Based Monitoring, Reporting and Verification System for Blue Carbon Ecosystems and Method thereof The present invention relates to an automated Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) framework for blue carbon ecosystems. The framework receives project registration information (301), independently acquires remotely sensed environmental data (302) corresponding to a registered geographical boundary, establishes a baseline vegetation profile (303) and periodically monitors ecosystem health. Machine-learning models classify ecosystem types, estimate biomass and carbon sequestration, detect temporal and spatial anomalies and generate validated monitoring results. An oracle (108) verifies the monitoring information and securely transmits the verified results to blockchain smart contracts (109), which independently validate the results, calculate eligible carbon credits and issue blockchain-based carbon-credit tokens while preventing duplicate registration and double counting. Monitoring records are maintained using decentralized storage (110) with immutable blockchain references. The framework further supports continuous post-issuance monitoring and automated lifecycle management of issued credits, thereby improving transparency, reducing manual intervention, enabling fraud-resistant verification and facilitating accessible participation in blue carbon carbon-credit markets.
