MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119835 A) filed by Ifet College Of Engineering on October 07, 2026, for Automated Bird Intrusion Detection And Deterrence System For Agricultural Fields.
Inventors include Mrs. A. Inbavalli; Dr. P. Kanimozhi; Ms. S. Padmapriya; and Ms. J. Nithyasri.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated bird intrusion detection and deterrence system for agricultural crop protection. The system comprises a microcontroller unit (102), motion sensor (104), sound sensor (106), camera module (108), buzzer (110), and rotating flashlight (112). The camera module (108) captures visual information from an agricultural field for processing using a machine-learning-based object detection model to identify bird presence. The identified bird presence is used together with motion sensing information from the motion sensor (104) and acoustic sensing information from the sound sensor (106) to determine a bird intrusion condition. Upon determination of the bird intrusion condition, the microcontroller unit (102) selectively activates the buzzer (110), rotating flashlight (112), or both. The multi-modal sensing arrangement reduces false activation arising from environmental disturbances or non-target movement and enables automated, non-lethal bird deterrence in agricultural fields.
