Abstract: An automated bicycle chain engagement device comprises of a housing 101 configured to be positioned on a ground surface, a multiple suction cups 102 installed underneath the housing 101 to generate negative pressure over the surface to secure the housing 101 with the surface, an imaging unit 103 to detect presence and dimension of frame as well as pedal of the bicycle, a pair of motorized clamp 104, each via an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 105, to extend and position the clamp 104 in proximity of the frame to grip the frame, an optical sensor 106, to determine disengagement of the chain, a robotic arm 107 to grasp the chain, of a motorized clipper 108 to grip the pedal to move the plate for engaging the chain the chainring, a motorized ball and socket joint 109 for providing multi-directional movement to the clipper 108 for proper movement of the pedal.
