Abstract: An automate knife sharpening device, compromising a platform 101 positioned over a surface and accessed by a user to position a knife, an imaging unit 102 for capturing images of the knife, a clamp 103 to grip handle of the knife, an induction heating coil to heat the knife in view of softening the knife, a temperature sensor to monitor temperature of knife, a hammer 104 configured with the platform 101 by means of a vertical shaft, hydraulic rod 105 to extend horizontally to position the hammer 104 over edge of the edge of the knife that is to be sharpened followed by vertical extension of the rod 105 in a reciprocating manner to hit the edge via the hammer 104, sliding unit 106 to provide translation to the shaft in view of positioning the hammer 104 over entire edge of knife, magneto-inductive sensor to monitor sharpness of the knife.
