MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641094134 A) filed by Mohan Babu University on August 04, 2026, for Auto Head Light Cut-Off Using Interior Light Sensor.
Inventors include Dr. Suresh Babu Daram; Ms. Dudekula Aasmaa; Ms. Faaiza Mastani; and Mr. Mln Charan.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automated headlight control system designed to enhance night time driving safety by reducing glare from oncoming vehicles. The system utilizes a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor to detect ambient and incoming light intensity and an Arduino Uno microcontroller to process the sensor data. Based on predefined threshold values, the system automatically switches between high beam, low beam, and OFF states using a relay module. Additionally, a motor driver regulates vehicle speed under low-visibility conditions. The system operates in real time, ensuring quick response and improved safety. The proposed solution is cost- effective, reliable, and suitable for integration into modern automotive systems.
