Abstract: ABSTRACT AUTHORIZATION MECHANISM FOR UE-TO-UE SENSING Apparatuses and methods for a communication network are provided. The method may include: receiving, from a network terminal, a sensing request comprising an indication of device-to-device sensing; retrieving, from a first core network entity, sensing subscription data of the network terminal; verifying whether the network terminal is allowed to perform the device-to-device sensing based on the sensing request and the sensing subscription data of the network terminal; and based on a successful verification, transmitting, to the network terminal, a response comprising a token indicating the device-to-device sensing is allowed.
