Abstract: Provided is an attachment for coating, said attachment being for coating a coating liquid onto an inner wall of a flow path of a honeycomb base material via a suction method. The attachment for coating has a substantially cylindrical shape in which a first open end is open at one end and a second open end is open at another end. A coating liquid storage part is provided at the first open end. A base material contact part for contacting an outer peripheral edge of an end of the honeycomb base material is provided on the side further toward the second open end than the coating liquid storage part. The base material contact part has a tapered surface, the inner diameter of which expands toward the second open end side.
