MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113050 A) filed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on September 21, 2026, for Atmospheric Sounding Analysis System.
Inventor includes Satheendran, Sumith.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system (100) and a method (200) of atmospheric sounding analysis. The system (100) receives radiosonde observations from one or more data sources (104) according to selected station, observation date, and sounding time parameters. The observations include pressure, geopotential height, temperature, dew-point temperature, wind direction, and wind speed. A processor (102-2) of the system (100) validates the received observations to establish a quality-controlled vertical atmospheric profile. The processor (102-2) then processes that profile to derive atmospheric analytical data comprising thermodynamic parameters, freezing levels, pressure-layer wind shear values, and geometric-height-layer wind shear values. These analytical results form the input to an atmospheric interpretation model, which evaluates atmospheric characteristics and constructs an atmospheric assessment report. The report presents the resulting assessment based on the derived analytical data, linking validated radiosonde measurements to interpreted thermodynamic conditions and wind-shear characteristics across atmospheric layers.
