Abstract: An assistive device for uncovering manhole lid, comprising a cuboidal body 101 configured with a pair of track wheels 102 to maneuver body 101 over a ground surface, a telescopically operated rod 103 stabilize body 101 over surface, an imaging unit 104 evaluates a 3D (three-dimension) map of surroundings, a touch interactive display panel 105 displays evaluated mapping and enabling user to select a portion of surroundings from user desires to remove lid of manhole, a motorized hinge joint 106 provides movement to an inverted L-shaped telescopic which position a circular plate 108, over lid of manhole, an expandable pulley arrangement 109 expand/ retract for increasing/ decreasing diameter of plate 108, multiple robotic links 110 removing earth/ soil around lid by means of a blade 111 attached with each of links 110.
