MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511016976 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 26, 2025, for Assistive Device For Removing Corn Kernels.

Inventors include Dr. Bhupendra Singh; and Dr. Durgesh Nandan.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: An assistive device for removing corn kernels, comprises of a platform 101 configured with an elongated frame 102 positioned on a fixed surface, multiple supporting legs 103 for providing stability to the platform 101 , a chamber 104 having multiple slots for storing the corn in segregated manner, a touch interactive display panel 105 to input details regarding the characteristics and quantity of kernels to be extracted, a robotic gripper 106 installed for positioning the tip portion of the corn over a hollow circular member 107 , plurality of sharp blades 108 for removing kernels of the corn , a BLDC (Brush Less Direct Current) electric motor for removing the kernels, a storage box 109 for storing the removed kernels, a speaker 110 to notify the user regarding collection of the kernels, and a container 111 for storing the cob of the corn.
