Abstract: An assistive device for laying mats, comprising a platform 101 configured with multiple motorized wheels to maneuver platform 101 over ground, an inverted V- shaped telescopically operated bars attached between wheels and platform 101 stabilize platform 101, a pair of inverted L-shaped vertical rods 102 configured on lateral sides of platform 101 and attached with a pair of handles accessed by user to maneuver platform 101 over surface, a horizontal link is configured on inner periphery of each rods 102 accessed by user for accommodating a mat roller between links 103, an imaging unit 104 installed on platform 101 generates a 3D map of surroundings, a display panel 105 display generated map and accessed by user to input details, a holographic projection unit 106 project a holographic image on surface to assists user, a BLDC motor coupled with each horizontal links 103 rotate mat roller for spreading mat over ground surface.
