MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511021678 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on March 11, 2025, for Artificial Nerve Cell.

Inventors include Dr. Rupinder Kaur Sodhi; Neha Khatun; and Navan Garg.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The artificial nerve cell (100) for replicating signaling and processing functions of biological neurons as in the nervous system. Integration of silicon chip (102) help modelling the charge potentials of electrical signals through artificial nerve cell (100). The pair of transistors (104) record and transmit electrical signals which travel through axon wires (108) and help in decision-making processes, sensory functions, and communicate between different nerve cells. The combination of biological materials hydrogel (110) and polyglycolic acid (112) contribute to biocompatiblity and nerve growth factors of the artificial nerve cell (100). FIG. 1
