Abstract: Artificial Intelligence in Sustainable Urban Logistics and Green Supply Chain Systems ABSTRACT The present invention provides an integrated Artificial Intelligence-based framework for improving the sustainability, efficiency, responsiveness, and resilience of urban logistics and green supply chain systems. By combining machine learning, predictive analytics, real-time data processing, Internet of Things technologies, intelligent optimization, and automated decision-making, the system enables effective coordination of transportation, inventory, warehousing, fleet operations, delivery scheduling, procurement, energy utilization, and reverse logistics. The invention reduces unnecessary travel, fuel consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, operational costs, delivery delays, resource wastage, and inefficient vehicle utilization. It further supports electric and low-emission vehicles, renewable energy integration, sustainable procurement, recyclable packaging, circular economy practices, and environmentally responsible disposal of materials. The adaptive nature of the system allows logistics decisions to be continuously improved according to changing traffic conditions, customer demand, inventory requirements, vehicle availability, energy conditions, and environmental objectives. Consequently, the invention contributes to smarter and cleaner urban freight movement while maintaining service reliability and economic performance. The disclosed system may be implemented across e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, food distribution, smart-city logistics, and other supply chain environments, thereby providing a scalable technological solution for sustainable urban development and environmentally responsible logistics management.
