Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence–based system (100) and method for real-time pain detection and patient monitoring. The system (100) comprises a plurality of non-invasive physiological sensors (101) configured to acquire pain-related physiological signals, at least one imaging device (102) for capturing facial expression data of a patient, a data acquisition and communication module (103) operatively coupled to the sensors (101) and the imaging device (102), a processing unit (104), and an artificial intelligence engine (105) executed by the processing unit (104). The processing unit (104) preprocesses the acquired data, performs feature extraction and multi-modal sensor fusion, and classifies pain intensity into predefined pain levels. A monitoring dashboard (106) is communicatively coupled to the processing unit (104) to display real-time pain levels and generate automatic alerts when pain exceeds predetermined thresholds.
