MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641108502 A) filed by R. M. D. Engineering College on September 09, 2026, for Artificial Intelligence-Based Personalized Drug Dosage Decision Support And Patient Monitoring System.

Inventors include Dr. J. Sherine Glory; Dr. A. Gnanasekar; Mrs. G. Manisha; Dr. A. Tamizharasi; and Mr. T. Venkatesan.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence-Based Personalized Drug Dosage Decision Support and Patient Monitoring System for assisting healthcare professionals in personalized medication management. The system comprises a patient data acquisition module, data preprocessing module, dynamic patient profile generation module, medication knowledge module, artificial intelligence dosage analysis module, medication safety assessment module, patient monitoring module, risk prediction module, alert management module, and clinician decision-support interface. The system acquires demographic, clinical, physiological, laboratory, medication-history and treatment-response information from healthcare records, medical devices, wearable sensors and other authorized sources. The acquired information is processed to generate a dynamic patient-specific representation. An artificial intelligence model analyzes the patient-specific representation together with medication-related information and historical treatment responses to generate a personalized dosage and dosing-interval decision-support output. A medication safety module evaluates potential drug interactions, contraindications and adverse-event risks. The patient monitoring module continuously or periodically analyzes physiological parameters and detects changes in patient condition or treatment response. A risk prediction module generates medication-related risk indicators and an alert management module provides prioritized notifications when clinically significant deviations are detected. The system further records treatment outcomes and clinician decisions for longitudinal monitoring and validated model evaluation. The invention provides an integrated intelligent framework for personalized drug dosage decision support, medication safety assessment, and continuous patient monitoring.
