MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641075819 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on June 19, 2026, for Artificial Intelligence-Based Humidity-Aware Anomaly Detection In Electric Vehicle Battery Management Systems.
Inventors include Indragandhi V; and Ranagani Madhavi.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) for detecting humidity-induced anomalies in a battery management system using artificial intelligence. The system (100) comprises a data acquisition module configured to collect environmental, electrical and thermal parameters, a signal pre-processing module configured to generate statistical features, and a feature integration module configured to embed humidity as a contextual parameter within multi-parameter data. An artificial intelligence inference module processes the humidity-enhanced dataset using temporal learning and anomaly detection models. A state-of-charge fusion module integrates multiple estimation techniques using environmental inputs. An adaptive control module generates control signals based on processed outputs. The system (100) enables contextual analysis of battery behaviour by incorporating humidity as an input feature within the processing pipeline.
