Abstract: A Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and reliability of grid-connected systems, especially in modern electrical networks where power quality is paramount. We are facing a problem of conventional DVRs of fixed control algorithms. It may not adapt well to changes in the electrical grid or load conditions. A proposed Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) based Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) in grid connected system used to provide adaptive control schemes that automatically adjust to changing grid conditions in real-time. The reinforcement learning Algorithm is introduced in DVR for enhanced response time and improved voltage stabilization under varying grid conditions, Reduced downtime and improved system reliability. Firstly, ML algorithms can be trained to optimize the energy usage of the DVR by learning how much compensation is required during different voltage disturbance events. Secondly, AI algorithms can identify patterns related to faults in the DVR or the grid. The effectiveness of the proposed AI&ML based DVR in balancing the load voltage and improving power quality is ascertained using MATLAB simulations. This proposed methods to enhanced decision-making capabilities, improved asset management, and overall grid performance and also the results show that the proposed DVR optimally achieved 99% efficiency, and the proposed method improved the power quality. The results confirmed that the proposed had a total harmonic distortion (THD) of 1.41% and 1.23% with AI & ML based DVR connection, which is lower than the existing DVR topologies
