Abstract: ABSTRACT ARCHITECTURE-AWARE MULTI-OBJECTIVE TASK SCHEDULING SYSTEM FOR CLOUD COMPUTING USING WHALE OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM The present invention discloses an architecture-aware multi-objective task scheduling system (100) for heterogeneous cloud computing environments. The system (100) comprises a user workload layer (110) generating heterogeneous computational tasks, an intelligent broker layer (120) that replaces conventional First-Come-First-Serve scheduling with a Whale Optimization Algorithm engine (130), a physical infrastructure layer (140) hosting a datacenter (142) with heterogeneous virtual machines (146) of varying processing capacities, and a multi-objective fitness function module (150) that computes a unified fitness score as a normalized weighted sum of system makespan and energy consumption. The WOA engine (130) creates a population of search agents representing complete task-to-virtual-machine mappings and iteratively refines agent positions through exploitation phases including encircling prey and spiral bubble-net attack mechanisms, and exploration phases to avoid premature convergence. The system achieves balanced workload distribution across heterogeneous virtual machines, minimizes total completion time, reduces energy consumption, and prevents resource fragmentation, outperforming conventional scheduling algorithms.
