Abstract: ABSTRACT ARCHITECTURE-AWARE MULTI-OBJECTIVE OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM FOR ENERGY-EFFICIENT TASK SCHEDULING IN HETEROGENEOUS CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS The present invention discloses a system (100) and method for multi-objective optimization of task scheduling in heterogeneous cloud computing environments. The system comprises a User Workload Generation Layer (110) for generating computational tasks, an Intelligent Broker Layer (120) with a Custom Datacenter Broker (122) that intercepts task submissions and evaluates all task-to-Virtual Machine mappings using a Multi-Objective Fitness Evaluator (124), and a Physical Infrastructure Layer (130) with heterogeneous Virtual Machines (136). The Fitness Evaluator comprises a Makespan Estimation Unit (124a), an Energy Consumption Estimation Unit (124b), a Normalization Engine (124c), and a Dynamic Weight Combiner (124d) that produces a unified penalty score using the function F(x) = w1 multiplied by normalized makespan plus w2 multiplied by normalized energy. An Architecture-Aware Mapping Module (126) applies penalties to suboptimal assignments. The system enables simultaneous minimization of makespan and energy consumption with real-time adjustable weight coefficients, preventing resource fragmentation across heterogeneous cloud infrastructure.
