Abstract: In today's fast paced world as population keeps growing in the cities, the traffic keeps rising day by day. The current system for controlling traffic is wholely relied upon the CCTV cameras and police patrols. These methods are considered to have some major flaws in controlling the traffic as it requires a lot of manpower and delays in getting fines/ e-challans. By considering all these cons we have derived a solution to tackle this problem by developing a system called ARCHER: Automated Incident Reporting and Citizen Driven E-challan Hub. This system helps the public to report the traffic violations by uploading the pictures or by uploading a descriptive summary of what happened if they don't have a proper snippets of the incident. Before the complaints raised by the public reached the police officers out smart AT will scan the media, identify vehicles and read the license plates. Then the police officers will review the complaint and give an approval. Once the complaint is approved by the police officers then the Al will automatically generate the fines for the owner. Our attached photocopies below show that the Al can scan the medias uploaded by public within seconds and makes it more reliable to use it in real-time.
