Abstract: An acrylic latex, and the aqueous barrier coating prepared from the same are disclosed. The aqueous barrier coating can be applied onto substrate like paper or cardboard to form a barrier layer which doesn't has odor issue, as well as favorable performance in sealing properties, barrier properties and anti-blocking properties. The acrylic latex can also be used for the printed or coated article prepared from the aqueous barrier coating.
