Abstract: The titled invention discloses a data-driven RFID-based water distribution and management system for rural and pen-urban areas comprising a smart water card (1), RFID-enabled smart water dispenser (2), microcontroller unit (3), flow sensor (4), water control valve (5), wireless communication unit (6), cloud monitoring platform (7), solar power and battery backup unit (8), and community monitoring dashboard (9). The smart water card (1) stores household headcount and allocated daily water quota based on per-capita consumption. The RFID-enabled smart water dispenser (2) authenticates the household and regulates water dispensing through the microcontroller unit (3), flow sensor (4), and water control valve (5). Consumption data is transmitted through the wireless communication unit (6) to the cloud monitoring platform (7) for real-time monitoring of consumed quantity, remaining quota, and usage patterns. The solar power and battery backup unit (8) supports continuous operation, while the community monitoring dashboard (9) enables monitoring by authorities and users, thereby supporting fair water distribution and reducing water wastage.
