The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: An artificial intelligence based groundwater quality prediction system is proposed using a hybrid of machine learning and deep learning methods to predict multiple groundwater chemical characteristics at the same time. The data from CGWB has been pre- processed through hybrid imputation and normalization methods and subsequently a predictive model using random forest, deep learning and artificial neural network has been created for each of the predicted chemical characteristics. The predicted chemical characteristics are then incorporated into a Water Quality Index (WQI) model to evaluate the suitability for drinking. Thus, groundwater quality prediction is much easier, more accurate, promotes sustainable water resources management, and permits early detection of groundwater contamination.
