Abstract: In an applicator (10) for attaching an implant (6) as a fixing point for a vascular prosthesis to a vessel wall of a blood vessel (7) by penetrating the vessel wall and the implant (6) with at least one penetration element (20), the applicator (1) has a channel (19) for receiving and expelling the at least one penetration element (20) out of the channel (19) and a displaceable first jaw (9) for releasably receiving a first locking piece (23) for the penetration element (20), and the channel (19) has an outlet region which is directed towards the first jaw (9), defines an outlet direction (A) and has an outlet opening (19a) for the penetration element (20), and the first jaw (9) can be displaced in the outlet direction (A) from a starting position into a contact position located closer to the outlet opening (19a) compared to the starting position.
