MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641096227 A) filed by Gudlyf Mobility Pvt Ltd on August 10, 2026, for Apparatus For Evaluating Structural Integrity Of Composite Pressure Cylinders Under Combined Pressure Loading.
Inventors include Ajeet Babu Kumar Parasumanna; and Kumar Seshaier Parasumanna.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: An apparatus for evaluating the structural integrity of a composite pressure cylinder comprises a sealed external pressure chamber enclosing a composite pressure cylinder specimen, an internal pressurisation circuit for controlling internal pressure, and an independent external pressure and vacuum circuit for applying controlled external pressure around the specimen. The apparatus optionally includes a blast pulse generator and a thermal jacket for simulating dynamic pressure transients and controlled temperature conditions. Fibre optic strain sensors, acoustic emission sensors, and pressure transducers continuously monitor the structural response, while a controller independently regulates internal and external pressure trajectories and acquires experimental data. The apparatus enables evaluation of the cylinder under combined pressure loading, including tensile and compressive loading conditions, and facilitates identification of failure modes including buckling, collapse, delamination, and structural instability. The acquired data are processed to determine the structural integrity and operating limits of composite pressure cylinders under representative loading conditions.
