Abstract: ABSTRACT An apparatus (100) for monitoring fermentation parameters in a bioreactor vessel (118) includes a pH electrode (108) and a dissolved oxygen sensor (110) each comprising a non-volatile storage element storing drift compensation coefficients. A sensor housing (102) houses a printed circuit board (106) comprising a plurality of compliant electrical contacts (104) connecting the pH electrode (108) and the dissolved oxygen sensor (110) and board-edge connector pads (122). An analogue front-end circuit (112) and a wireless transceiver (114) are mounted on the printed circuit board (106). The analogue front-end circuit (112) receives sensor signals from the pH electrode (108) and the dissolved oxygen sensor (110) and amplifies the received sensor signals and applies a gain factor derived from the drift compensation coefficients to the amplified sensor signals to generate corrected fermentation parameter measurements that the wireless transceiver (114) transmits as output data packets containing to a gateway controller (116).
