Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided an apparatus (100) for manufacturing a cementitious slurry comprising foam, the apparatus comprising; a mixing chamber (105) for mixing a cementitious material and water to form a cementitious slurry, a channel (110) fluidly connected to the mixing chamber (105) at a first end, the channel (110) for receiving a cementitious slurry from the mixing chamber (105), the channel (110) extending from the first end (110a) and terminating at at least one second end (110b); the apparatus comprising a foam inlet (125) for introducing foam into the mixing chamber (105) or the channel (110); the apparatus (100) further comprising a coalescence inhibiting additive inlet (130) for introducing a coalescence inhibiting additive into the cementitious slurry downstream of the foam inlet (125). A method using the apparatus is also described.
