MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621048503 A) filed by Sage University on April 16, 2026, for Apparatus And Method For Forensic Voice Evidence Collection In Infrastructure-Limited Environments.

Inventors include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Sanjay Dubey; Utkarsh; and Yashsvi Pal.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to forensic voice evidence collection in infrastructure-limited environments. The apparatus (102) includes a prompt storage circuit (104) storing pre-recorded audio prompt files containing digitized speech in regional languages, each corresponding to a forensic recording state from a defined set of forensic recording states. A wireless communication circuit (106) transmits data over a wireless network, and a microcontroller (108) operatively connects these components. The microcontroller (108) detects the current forensic recording state, retrieves the corresponding audio prompt file from the prompt storage circuit (104), and outputs spoken guidance in the regional language via an audio speaker (110). Write-protected audio files are transmitted to a remote server (112) via the wireless communication circuit (106) upon detection of an available wireless network signal. This enables delivery of court-admissible voice evidence from infrastructure- limited environments without physical transportation of the apparatus (102) to a forensic laboratory. FIG. 1
