Abstract: Apparatus (10) for the continuous decatising of a fabric (18), comprising a pressure vessel (1) containing steam at controlled pressure and temperature; an entry (3) and an exit (3’) of the fabric only from the vessel (1); a series of modules (30) inside the vessel (1), packed so as to form an S-shaped path and arrange the fabric (18) in multiple layers in which the mechanical pressure, exerted by a press (15) that compresses all the modules (30) like a sandwich, is shared and transferred in all the layers of the fabric (18). The fabric (18) inside the vessel (1) alternates advancement steps with steps of stop and mechanical compression in the direction of the thickness, until reaching the exit (3’). [Fig. 3]
