Abstract: ABSTRACT An apparatus for autonomous package delivery in infrastructure-constrained environments includes a landmark feature extraction circuit (102) that extracts feature descriptors from image frames captured by a downward-facing camera (104) of ground surface features beneath a chassis (106). A GNSS receiver (108) receives position data and outputs satellite signal quality parameters. A hardware processor (110) detects degraded satellite signal conditions and compares feature descriptors against stored descriptor vectors in a landmark database (112) to identify matched landmark entries. The hardware processor (110) computes a current position estimate from stored geographic coordinates and heading measurements from a compass circuit (114), maintaining autonomous navigation. Upon arrival, the hardware processor (110) transmits an unlock code to a recipient device (142) via a wireless communication transceiver (116). The hardware processor (110) verifies the unlock code received through a user input interface (118) and commands release of an electronically-controlled latch (120) for package retrieval. FIG. 1
