Abstract: [042] The present invention relates to an antioxidant and antimicrobial topical gel composition comprising a standardized leaf extract of Radermachera xylocarpa, a gel- forming polymer, a humectant, a skin-compatible carrier, a stabilizing agent, a pH adjusting agent, and purified water. The leaf extract is preferably prepared using an aqueous-alcoholic solvent system and standardized on the basis of phytochemical content, antioxidant activity, antimicrobial activity, or chromatographic profile. The gel composition is adjusted to a skin-compatible pH and viscosity to provide uniform spreading, improved topical residence, reduced oxidative degradation, and stable dispersion of the botanical active constituents. The composition provides a plant-based topical formulation with combined antioxidant and antimicrobial functionality and may be used in dermatological, cosmeceutical, hygiene, and personal care applications.
