Abstract: Unnatural cell proliferation is a feature of a group of diseases collectively referred to as cancer, which can invade or spread to various body parts. Not all lumps and tumours are cancerous; benign tumours, which do not spread to other bodily organs, are not regarded as cancer. There are more than 100 different forms of cancer that can afflict humans. Often, a cancer's location in the body is used to describe it. Human cancer-derived cell lines serve as fundamental models for investigating the biology of cancer, assessing the therapeutic effectiveness of anticancer medications, and creating cancer therapeutics. The objective of this research is to determine the Anti-cancer activity of Thymoquinone (TM) and Spirulina (BSP) against human colon cancer (HCT-15), oral cancer (KB), acute leukaemia (THP-1) and observation in statistical data of cytotoxicity study by MTT assay. The results of the MTT experiment revealed that the test substance, TM, may have a moderate level of cytotoxicity against human colorectal cancer cells with an IC50 value of 163 ug/ml and no toxicity against human acute leukaemia cells. TM's mild IC50 value on HCT-15 cells suggests that it may have a suitable level of toxicity. To assess the mechanism of action underlying the anticancer activity of TM against colorectal cancer in in-vitro conditions, additional mechanistic research pertaining to the anticancer potential must be carried out. And for Blue Spirulina (BSP) the The MTT assay results suggested us that the given test compound; BSP have effective cytotoxic potential capacity against Human oral cancer cells with IC50 values of 58ug/ml and moderate toxicity on Human acute leukemia cells with IC50 value of 144ug/ml respectively. BSP may have best toxic potential due to its low IC50 value on KB cells. Further mechanistic studies related to the anticancer potential need to be performed to evaluate the mechanism of action behind the anticancer activity of BSP against the oral cancer cell line in in-vitro condition And for Blue Spirulina (BSP) the The MTT assay results suggested us that the given test compound; BSP have effective cytotoxic potential capacity against Human oral cancer cells with IC50 values of 58ug/ml and moderate toxicity on Human acute leukemia cells with IC50 value of 144ug/ml respectively. BSP may have best toxic potential due to its low IC50 value on KB cells. Further mechanistic studies related to the anticancer potential need to be performed to evaluate the mechanism of action behind the anticancer activity of BSP against the oral cancer cell line in in-vitro condition. The standard drug used in the in the study of the effects of Thymoquinone (TM) is Doxorubicin (Dox-1uM) and Camptothecin (CPT-20uM) on cell lines as oral cancer (KB) and acute leukaemia (THP-1). And for Blue Spirulina (BSP) the standard drug used in the in the study of the test are Doxorubicin (Dox-1uM) and Camptothecin (CPT-20uM) on cell lines as Colon cancer (KB) and acute leukaemia (THP-1).
