Abstract: A mechanism for preventing ants, pests from entering a first container containing food, the mechanism comprising the first container consisting a large cavity, sufficient in size to hold the food, coupled to a movable lid, a second container engaged around the periphery of the first container, second container including continuous cavity of lesser volume throughout the length of second container, cavity configured open along an axis, the cavity flanked by outer wall , floor and inner wall of second container, inner wall of second container arranged close to the outer surface of first container, axis of continuous cavity of second container arranged in relation to axis of large cavity of first container, second container positioned at defined distance from bottom of first container, continuous cavity filled with liquid material or solid material, that being antagonistic to ants prevents ants from crossing the continuous cavity, and to enter the first container.
