The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an anisamide-coated gefitinib-loaded lipid nanoparticle formulation and a method for preparing the same. The formulation comprises gefitinib encapsulated within a lipid matrix containing caprylic/capric triglyceride (CCTG) oil, polyethylene glycol (PEG 400), Tween 80, distilled water, and an anisamide surface coating to form a core-shell nanoparticle structure. The preparation method includes preparation of organic and aqueous phases, emulsification, probe sonication, solvent evaporation, anisamide surface functionalization, purification, and recovery of the nanoparticles. The prepared nanoparticles are characterized using Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), zeta potential analysis, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). The formulation exhibits nanoscale particle size, uniform morphology, desirable colloidal stability, and a controlled, sustained drug release profile, demonstrating successful preparation of a stable surface-functionalized lipid nanoparticle formulation.
