Abstract: The present invention relates to an animal surveillance, detection and deterrent system, providing autonomous, adaptive monitoring and deterrence of animal intrusions with minimal human intervention. The system comprises at least one imaging unit to monitor an area, a processing unit, a communication module, and a plurality of deterrent units. Implemented on an edge-computing platform to reduce latency, the processing unit utilizes AI/ML-based image processing to accurately detect animals and confirms their presence across consecutive frames to prevent false alarms. Upon detection, the system initiates an intelligent, sequential escalation of deterrent units based on a predetermined order. The processing unit continuously verifies the animal's presence after each activation, sequentially triggering stronger deterrents if the animal remains, and immediately terminates operation once it leaves to save power and minimize environmental disturbance. Real-time notifications with images, timestamps, and location data are transmitted to remote user devices before the system automatically resets to monitoring mode.
