MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631073516 A) filed by Kalinga Institute Of Industrial Technology Kiit Deemed To Be University on June 12, 2026, for Anharmonic Oscillator Design Using Gradient Based Optimization.
Inventor includes Samal, Padarbinda.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for designing an anharmonic oscillator using a gradient based optimizer algorithm includes defining a quantum system as a one-dimensional anharmonic oscillator governed by a Hamiltonian, defining a trial wave function with variational parameters, and formulating an objective function as a variational energy to be minimized. The objective function represents an expectation value of the Hamiltonian with respect to the trial wave function. The method includes setting input parameters including a population size, an iteration number, and upper and lower bounds of parameter spaces, and evaluating an energy function for an initial population. The variational parameters are updated using the gradient based optimizer algorithm employing a gradient search rule and a local escaping operator mechanism. The method includes comparing initial and updated cost values and determining optimal variational parameters when the algorithm converges towards a global solution.
